Built because the work itself had stopped being the point.
We started Studio Bast because we watched the creative industry drift away from the work. Agencies selling hours instead of outcomes. Studios managing clients through layers of account managers and project coordinators. Deliverables that looked great in presentations and quietly underperformed in the real world.
We wanted none of that.
Our principle is simple. One psychologist-designer. One developer. Two people doing the work that gets delivered, from first conversation to final deploy. No handoffs. No translation loss between the people who design and the people who build. And every decision grounded in how people actually think, perceive, and decide.
It's a narrower way to work. We take on fewer projects. We don't grow headcount for its own sake. But the work gets sharper, the relationships with our clients get stronger, and every project gets our full attention.

When I’m not behind my laptop, you’ll probably find me doing something that makes my heart rate spike: gym sessions, long runs, or cycling somewhere I didn’t exactly plan to go. I’ve even ticked off an Ironman 70.3 with equal parts pain and pride, and I’ve never been happier to see a finish line.
In my free time, I build web and mobile apps just to learn, break, and rebuild things. That’s my kind of fun.

Hi, I'm Anneleen. I'm a certified clinical psychologist who found her way into design, and honestly, it makes more sense than it sounds. Understanding how people think, feel, and make decisions is the foundation of everything I create.
I design brand identities, packaging, websites, and print materials. But I don't start with colours and fonts. I start with the audience: what catches their attention, what builds trust, what makes them choose one thing over another. The psychology comes first. The design makes it visible.
Before Studio Bast, I worked as a clinical psychologist. That background didn't disappear when I picked up design tools. It sharpened the way I look at every brief: why does this matter to the person seeing it? What are they really responding to? Those questions shape every project, from a logo to a full brand system.
I care deeply about craft. Every detail in a design is intentional, every choice has a reason behind it. I don't do decoration for the sake of it. If something is in the design, it's there because it works.
